Description — This is the Nooksock River in northwest Washington, near the Canadian border. It was photographed in September 2013 in mid-afternoon.

Commentary — I was here to photograph Nooksock Falls nearby, but the falls are not easily accessible; in fact there were signs warning that people had been killed trying to photograph the falls. So I settled for photographing the Nooksock River a bit upstream from the falls.
Although I didn’t record the exposure, I’m sure the shutter duration was one second or two seconds, because that is what I use when photographing flowing streams.
